Bio of Katharina Kontaxis, RCIC
Mrs. Katharina (Kay) Kontaxis, RCIC (née 1978 in Vienna, Austria, Europe) volunteered as a jurist (law student) at the Juvenile Court of Vienna (criminal law) before immigrating to Canada in 2001. Already as a child she loved exploring different languages and cultures; her passion for history and geography lead her to Canadian immigration litigation. Since 2012, she lives with her husband and four ferrets in the future tech hub of Canada: Edmonton, Alberta.

Bio of Katharina (Kay) Kontaxis, RCIC who maintains a diverse practice in the areas of Canadian immigration, refugee and citizenship law. She counsels individuals on these matters, and appears before the Immigration Refugee Board of Canada (IRB). Kay has a unique perspective on immigration issues because she worked as a Canadian immigration professional in three languages (English, French and German) in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal and Edmonton since 2011. This broad exposure to different cultures and languages has provided Kay with extensive experience arguing complex matters on behalf of her customers.
Further, Kay advises individuals and businesses on their applications for temporary and permanent resident status; including family classes sponsorships, federal skilled workers via the Express Entry system, provincial nominations (AINP, BCPNP and OINP), temporary resident visas, work permits, Labour Market Impact Assessments (LMIA), North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and other exemptions.
