Immigration Levels Plan 2023-2025

Since November 1st, 2022, the Government of Canada is increasing its ambitious immigration levels plan by welcoming 465,000 new immigrants in 2023, 485,000 in 2024 and 500,000 in 2025 – primarily, through Economic and Family Sponsorship Programs. The benefits of immigration lie in balancing the effects of a greying nation while strengthening Canada’s economy.

IRCC is prioritizing economic immigration in 2023 more than ever. Almost all the increases within economic immigration were in programs that are aligned with the Express Entry system.
