Since the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program introduced the Alberta Express Entry Stream in June 2018, the Government of Alberta sent 12 Notification of Interest (NOI) letters to candidates with a CRS score in the range of 300 to 304.

On May 15, 2019, Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) invited 197 Express Entry candidates with Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores of 301 to apply for a provincial nomination through the Alberta Express Entry Stream.
The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program regularly reviews available candidates in the federal Express Entry pool. Based on available profile information in the portal, the AINP draws to select candidates from the pool, inviting them to submit a completed application to the AINP. Candidates who have demonstrated strong ties to Alberta or who can help support the government’s economic development and diversification priorities may be asked to submit an application.
Selection process
To be selected from the Express Entry pool, the candidate must:
- Have indicated an interest in moving to Alberta;
- Be working in an occupation that supports Alberta’s economy; and
- Have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System score of 300.
The following adaptability criteria may increase the probability of receiving a Notification of Interest letter:
- A valid job offer and/or work experience from an employer in Alberta;
- A Canadian post-secondary degree or diploma; or
- A parent, child or sibling currently living in Alberta.
